“I believe…” or Credo #93

Posted: July 17, 2009 in Credo

I provide links here and also right here to the Nicene Creed and Apostle’s Creed, respectively. There is some scholarly benefit to be had from a deeper examination of why and how these words came to be put in the fashion they are, though that is for a more learned man than myself to provide. I challenge you only to memorize a version of the Apostle’s Creed; and also, as the words present themselves to your mind as you go through life, that you consider what they mean.

I have betimes found devotional help here, and also here for a more liturgical approach.

  1. sing says:

miss the breaking of bread in the previous church i was with an anglican charismatic church. we used to read in response to the priest conducting the Lord’s supper. i often pause in contemplation of the meaning within those words. it always bring to a place of stillness and awe.
